Looking after your rooms
With nearly 400 rooms available for full-time students, we ensure all our accommodation is well maintained, clean and looked after. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
Maintenance
Paul Parrish (Maintenance Manager) oversees maintenance matters in the College. Please email the Maintenance department with maintenance requests for any college building, including details of the room and the issue: maintenance@hughes.cam.ac.uk. In cases of emergency phone: 01223 767 056 during office hours. Or, out of hours, the Duty Person: 07919 058 305.
Housekeeping
Tomasz Drobka (Housekeeping Manager) and Michelle Dinning (Assistant Housekeeper) manage the cleaning staff and day-to-day domestic matters, both on and off the main site. The Housekeeping team can be contacted by email on housekeeping@hughes.cam.ac.uk
Laundry facilities
The College has 3 on-site laundry facilities, these are located in the Fenner’s Building (3rd floor), the Margaret Wileman Building (ground floor), and Gresham Court (3rd floor). You can top-up your washstation card using this link: Washstation Card Top Up
Meeting rooms
Many of the College rooms noted under Conference Facilities can be booked by students at reduced or no cost. Also, students are welcome to use the Pfeiffer Room from 5.00 pm each evening (with occasional exception). However, the condition of use of any room is that you must leave it clean and tidy, with furniture replaced as you found it, since it must be ready for general College use or an external conference group at the start of the next day.
