Watch a webinar for mature students

Hughes Hall partnered with the other two mature colleges in Cambridge, and the University Admissions Office, to run a webinar series designed for mature student applicants; students aged 21 or over looking to study an undergraduate degree. Each webinar focused on a different element of the admissions process and included presentations by staff, first-hand experiences from current students, and a Q&A. You can watch recordings here:

  • Introduction Webinar: An Introduction to Mature Student Applications, the Mature Colleges, Funding, and the March Deadline. You can watch the recording here.
  • Applying Webinar: UCAS, Admissions Assessments and the ‘My Cambridge’ Application. You can watch the recording here.
  • Interview Process Webinar:  Top Tips, and How Can I Prepare? You can watch the recording here.

Talk to an undergraduate or postgraduate Admissions Tutor online – every Monday or Wednesday

Throughout the year, Hughes Hall admissions tutors are available to meet potential applicants, and those with applications in progress, via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You can use these meetings to ask questions about all aspects of life at Hughes Hall and the admissions pathway. We are available on Mondays, 12-1pm and Wednesdays, 2-3pm.

To book a slot please email outreach@hughes.cam.ac.uk and include your name, the course/s you are considering applying for, and a brief overview of your queries. We look forward to meeting you online, answering your questions and telling you more about applying to Cambridge and life at Hughes.
