Hughes Hall is typical of a Cambridge College in that its diverse membership comprises individuals at different stages in their academic and professional careers. However, in contrast with the many traditional colleges, about half of our students are here for a relatively short period, and most have not experienced the unique aspects of life at Cambridge University prior to their arrival at Hughes.
College Staff and Fellows have the expertise to help students navigate the practicalities of living in Cambridge, find their way around the University structures, and provide advice on pastoral, personal and academic concerns. For any such queries, students should contact their College Tutor or the Tutorial Office: 01223 (3)34893 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Cambridge University and Hughes Hall each have distinctive roles during the student journey. For everyone, regardless of degree, that journey starts with Matriculation, the traditional pledge linked with formal membership of Hughes Hall and Cambridge University. At the end of the course, there is the celebration of success with Graduation or Completion.
