The College library offers focused provision for the subjects in which the College admits undergraduates and taught MPhil students. The collection comprises textbooks, general reference material and small selections of serials and CD ROMs. The library’s stock is included in iDiscover. Current Hughes Hall students may borrow books at any time, using the self-issue terminal.
The library is open 24 hours a day for use by Hughes Hall students and the senior membership (using card keys for access). There are power sockets and Wi-Fi throughout. The ground floor contains the reading room and the library office. On the first floor there is a study area with computer facilities, a photocopier/printer/scanner, and a group study room. There are 66 study spaces.
Due to high demand for study spaces, the library may be used only by current members of Hughes Hall, and is not available to students from other colleges.
