Top information systems honour for Hughes Fellow

Professor Michael Barrett recognised for his outstanding contribution to research, teaching and service.

The Association of Information Systems (AIS) awards those who have made significant global contributions to the information systems discipline as well as outstanding local contributions in their region, and who will act as a role model and inspiration to others in the field.

“It has been an honour and delight to be selected as a Fellow of the Association of Information Systems which is the premier global body representing Information Systems scholarship. Many thanks to all my wonderful collaborators and mentors.”

Michael Barrett, Governing Body Fellow at Hughes Hall,  is also Vice Dean and Professor of Information Systems & Innovation Studies at Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) and Academic Director of  Cambridge Digital Innovation at Hughes Hall.

His current research focuses on digital innovation and transformation with a particular interest in how emerging technologies are enabling new models of healthcare and climate change analysis, as well as promoting financial and social inclusion in developing countries.
