Quondam Fellow

Rowena Ironside studied Information Processing in Australia before spending 25 years in the tech industry. She started her career writing software, helped build and ultimately sell a successful IT services business in London and led several large, multi-national professional and managed services businesses.
Since completing the Sloan Masters at London Business School in 2002, Rowena has built a second career as a non-executive director (NED), advisor and investor. Her board experience includes roles in the end-of-life sector as non-executive director and Vice Chair of Dignity in Dying and inaugural Chair of the sister charity, Compassion in Dying; as well as three years as a City Fellow at Hughes Hall.

Rowena is a founder and NED of Women on Boards UK, a purpose driven company changing the odds for women by providing the information, connections and inspiration to ensure more women are appointed to boards and senior leadership positions across all sectors. She is also an NED of the Digital Catapult, Chair of the charity PSPA and sits on the Steering Committee of The Healthcare Improvement Studies (THIS) Institute, Cambridge.
