Justice Singh is a Permanent Judge of the High Court of Delhi, is widely published in the field of law, and has won a number of awards in recognition of her accomplishments in many aspects of the legal profession. She is also a Hughes Hall alumna and combines a personal affinity with the College – and with Cambridge – with the legal excellence and international relevance for which Hughes Hall is well known.
The University’s Prathiba M. Singh Scholarships for LLM are granted to Indian students who have secured admission at Cambridge and Justice Singh was recently invited by the Vice-Chancellor to join the “Circle of Advisors” for India.
Graduating from University Law College, Bangalore, Justice Singh went on to represent India at the Philip C Jessup Moot Court competition in Chicago. She was offered the ODASSS scholarship by the Cambridge Commonwealth Trust to study LLM at Cambridge and enrolled with the Bar in 1991.
