By-Fellow

Johnny holds a PhD from Aix-Marseille University and is currently a By-Fellow at Hughes Hall College, Cambridge. Johnny has a deep interest in translating foundational research and early ideas into efficacious interventions to prevent and cure diseases that have significant impact on societies.

During the last 10+ years, he has led collaborative research and discovery projects and authored more than 55 publications in top-tier journals with >3.5k citations. He has built a strong expertise in building and growing start-up, developing interdisciplinary teams, designing, implementing and leading innovative research strategies for drug discovery.

He has translated an interdisciplinary research program into a drug discovery platform against protein misfolding diseases, including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. As a result, he has been a scientific founder and Leadership Team of a biotechnology company with a focus on drug discovery and strategy.

His work has been acknowledged on several occasions in the news, including the BBC, and as a result of his contribution to the field, Johnny has been invited to several international conferences and workshops as a speaker and chairperson.
