Ian works as a consultant in the international humanitarian and development sector, with focus on policy and practice of ‘localising’ international aid. Ongoing work relates to financial sustainability in the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement, and peer-led, digital learning to strengthen immunization and Cocid-19 vaccine roll-out. Ian studied German and Dutch at Jesus College, Cambridge, and has lived and worked in Germany and Switzerland. He set up the Cambridge Humanitarian Centre (now Centre for Global Equality – http://centreforglobalequality.org/), of which he is now a Board member.
