Ian Peacock was Chairman of The Housing Finance Corporation and a non executive director of C Hoare & Co. He is a Trustee of Chiswick House and of the PHG Foundation and Chairman of the Financial Advisory Committee for Westminster Abbey. Ian was previously Chairman of Mothercare plc; Chairman of Howden Joinery PLC (formerly MFI Furniture Group) and a Trustee of WRVS.
He has held a number of senior positions in the banking industry in London, New York and Asia with Kleinwort Benson Group and with BZW. He was also a special adviser to the Bank of England from 1998 to 2000, and a non-executive director of Norwich and Peterborough Building Society from 1997 to 2005.
He is a Visiting Professor at the London Institute of Banking and Finance.
