Quondam Fellow

Heather studied for a BSc(Hons) in Biomedical Sciences at Durham University from 2006-2009. Following on from this she was awarded a British Heart Foundation 1+3 year PhD position at the University of Cambridge. Her first year of training involved three 12-week rotations in different laboratories after which, an MPhil was awarded. For her PhD, Heather investigated the impact of maternal obesity during pregnancy on the long-term cardiovascular health of the offspring. Since completing her PhD, Heather was awarded funding for a post-doctoral position in the same laboratory, where she will extend research from her PhD into studying potential intervention models.

Heather was appointed as a Research Fellow of Hughes Hall in April 2014.
