Governing Body Fellow

Vasiliki studied Biology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. She then pursued a PhD at the University of Cambridge, MRC Mitochondrial Biology Unit, under the supervision of Prof Edmund Kunji, studying mitochondrial transport proteins. After her PhD, she joined the lab of Dr Paul Miller at the Pharmacology Department as a post-doctoral researcher. There, she is working on the structure and function of ion channels, with a specific focus on neurotransmission and nociception. To support her current research she has been awarded a Leverhulme/ Isaac Newton Trust Early Career Fellowship.
