We are thrilled to be bring you the latest issue of Hughes Magazine. We have expanded our coverage of the latest on the college’s research activities in the Bridge, the college’s portfolio of research translation initiatives, and to share stories from across the college community. The issue at the end of Easter term each year will spotlight student life and alumni achievements. If you have a story you would like us to feature in Issue 30 please send us 100 word summary by Monday 23 March.

In this issue we hope you will enjoy finding out about the college’s work from the launch of our Impact Leadership Programme, the acceleration of our Centre for Climate Change Engagement and the promotion of Oracy skills in education. We hope that you will not only be interested to hear about the diverse ways in which the college is building bridges between research and real-world impact, but may be inspired to be involved.

Finally, in our efforts to reduce our carbon footprint, the college is increasingly moving to paperless communications. Following this ethos, Hughes is principally being published digitally with hard copies only being sent to readers where we do not have an email address or who have expressed a preference to receive the magazine by post. If you would like to express a preference for how you receive the magazine or need to update us with your new email address, please contact us as development@hughes.cam.ac.uk or +44 (0) 1223 334895.
