Wednesday 8 November, 5-6 pm, Pfeiffer Room
The second Doctoral Network event of term is taking place on the 8th of November 5-6 pm in the Pfeiffer Room! For those who don’t know, the Doctoral Network is made up of Hughes Hall PhD students and postdoctoral researchers and is an opportunity for the College’s junior research community to come together in a relaxed environment. The group meets once a month on the second Wednesday of the month for discussions, presentations, and general chat.
November is Academic Writing Month, when academic writers in all fields and career stages commit to prioritising their writing and supporting each other. During this month’s meeting of the Doctoral Network we will work on producing our individual strategies for a productive month, as well as sharing tips and ideas for maintaining a sustainable approach to academic writing. Whether you’re putting the final touches on an article, writing a first draft of a chapter, or just starting to brainstorm your research questions, this is an opportunity to celebrate academic writing in a relaxed and social environment.
