By-Fellow, Tutor, Parents’ and Caregivers’ Champion, and Senior Development Officer

As a Senior Development Officer at Hughes Hall, Claire has spent over a decade working in fundraising and alumni relations, building strong relationships with graduates, fellows, and students. During this time, she’s raised money for student support, building projects – including Gresham Court, and our Bridge research centre. Prior to moving into higher education fundraising, Claire worked in the charity and heritage sectors working for the British Red Cross and York Minster. She holds an MA in Archaeological Heritage Management form the University of York.

Recently, Claire has been studying for a diploma in counselling and is now a trainee counsellor working with students. She is also a member of BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This experience has helped Claire in her role as a college tutor supporting students, where she is also the champion for parents and caregivers.
