Martin Hadley-Brown is one of two Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine tutors at Hughes. He has been the Director of Studies for Preclinical Medicine since 2016. He trained at St. Thomas’ Hospital in London, qualifying in 1983 and then trained in General Medicine and General Practice before taking a GP partnership in Thetford, Norfolk in 1989. He became Senior Partner there in 1997 and was key to the practice becoming one of the five original community sites for the CGCM in 2001. The practice also trains doctors after qualification in preparation for their senior career posts. He teaches CGCM students both in GP practice and at the West Suffolk Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice and educational work Martin chairs the Primary Care Diabetes Society in the UK and lectures in the UK and abroad on diabetes topics as well as advising government and professional bodies including NICE. Outside work, Martin enjoys coastal sailing and choral music.
