Hong Kong University Visiting Fellow
Dr Chen Chen is a visiting fellow from Faculty of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong, where she collaborates with Dr. Xiaohu Zhang and Prof. Chris Webster as a postdoctoral fellow. She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University. She is currently working on research projects in urban scaling and urban resource metabolism.
Dr Chen’s research interests mainly focus on developing innovative technical schemes and management strategies to enhance sustainable resource cycling in urban systems, using big data, intelligent algorithms, and geo-technologies. During her visit at Hughes Hall, she will work with the research group of Prof. Julian Allwood on collaborative studies aimed at achieving a smarter urban metabolism and low-emission urban transitions.
