Quondam Fellow & Director of Studies for Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion

Dr Lockhart is a Quondam Fellow and Director of Studies for Theology, Religion and Philosophy of Religion at Hughes Hall. He is a member of the Faculty of Divinity in the University and his research is in the field of 20th century religious history with a special interest in new and non-mainstream religion, the psychology of religion, and apocalypticism and millenarianism.

He is also Visiting Senior Research Fellow at King’s College London, Academic Co-Director of the Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements and co-editor of the Critical Dictionary of Apocalyptic and Millenarian Movements.
