Mr Kieron Devey, Tutor and By-Fellow

Kieron’s early career was in government working on the development and accreditation of national vocational qualifications followed by several years in legal services where he led the establishment of an innovative legal information and advice service aimed at helping members of the public.

Returning to Cambridge, Kieron joined Cambridge University Press and Assessment where he managed several international education reform projects with ministries of education in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. It was during this time that he was approached by KAUST University in Saudi Arabia to work for them.

At KAUST, he was responsible for several student-facing initiatives including establishing the University’s inaugural Student Ombudsman Service. In 2021, Kieron joined St Edmund’s College as its first Director of Education. In this role he oversees the College’s Admissions, Tutorial and Library teams and works closely with senior College staff and Fellows supporting students achieve their academic potential.
