“We cannot watch the recent events in the United States following the death of George Floyd without sharing the Vice-Chancellor’s sense of outrage and frustration. Black Lives Matter at Hughes Hall and Cambridge just as they do throughout the world.
I recognise that we must do better to counter racism, which is always unacceptable, and that we must not stay silent in the face of it. But we must act too. Hughes Hall is ready to do its part in taking substantial and tangible action to further racial equality and diversity.”
