Richard Berg Rust Enterprise Society Awards – 2nd May

Richard Berg Rust Enterprise Society Awards, Tuesday 2nd May 2017, 6pm- 8:30pm, Pavilion Room and Peter Richards Room

Join us for the Grand Final of the Hughes Hall Enterprise Award 2017, at 6.00pm in the Pavillion Room, and afterwards in the Peter Richards room for drinks and snacks.

Our three exciting finalists, AptaTec Medical, IoQS and OpFix, will be pitching for the judges’ votes, fielding your questions and trying to persuade all of us that their business idea is a winner.

  • Dominik Reich’s company Aptatec Medical is developing an innovative way to personalise cancer treatment through aptamer screening.
  • IoQS, founded by Graeham Douglas, is creating a new method for measuring lung function in asthma patients.
  • Pablo Lubroth and the OpFix team are planning to use software to turn any smartphone into a low-cost, portable glaucoma diagnostic tool.

With cancer, asthma and glaucoma-induced blindness major health issues around the world, all three of our finalists could soon be making a huge difference to people’s lives.

Who will take away the £1,250 prize? Come along to cheer your favourite, network with an inspiring group of people and have a great evening.

This year’s Enterprise Award is to be named in honour of Richard Berg Rust, former Development Director at Hughes Hall, whose sudden death was announced recently. Richard was always a strong supporter of the Hughes Hall Enterprise Society, and this will be a mark of our gratitude for all he did to make the Society into the success it is today.
