A concert to celebrate the life and work of Kate Waring (1952-2015), Sunday 11th September 2016, 3-5pm, Pavilion Room Hughes Hall
Cambridge composer Kate Waring premiered her last two comic chamber operas at Hughes Hall (2014 & 2015). Many staff were involved in helping to stage these hugely successful events.
Come and celebrate the life and work of Kate Waring with a music concert, including:
* Highlights from her Chamber Operas Are Women People and Porcelain and Pink with their original cast and players
* Songs for Mezzo Soprano, with texts by Longfellow
* Selected Miniatures for Clarinet, Cello and Piano
Doors open at 2.30 pm, concert starts at 3.00 pm, tea/cakes will follow.
