Congratulations to Husein Alireza, a Hughes Hall Associate Student in 2016-17 on the PGDip in Entrepreneurship, who represented Saudi Arabia in the single sculls category at the Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, in August. He came in 3rd in the B Final to finish 9th overall.
Husein Alireza said “The first time I picked up an oar was at Hughes Hall in October 2016 where we went on to win Lent blades. I only started training full-time in September 2017 and will continue training full-time in the hopes of qualifying Saudi to the Olympics in 2020”.
