Hughesians de-stress during busy exam time

Exams, exams, exams – let’s face it they are all on our mind, but in order to do well, we need to focus on our mental wellbeing and take regular breaks.

The Hughes MCR committee have done a great job with providing a number of ‘exam stress relief’ activities, which students can utilise to achieve ‘exam time zen’.

On the 4th of May, students were invited to take a break and enjoy some pizza, courtesy of the MCR and last week a masseuse came in for two evenings allowing students to relax before picking up the books again. Other activities include; tea and cakes every Sunday, yoga sessions, help-yourself tea and coffee in the bar and a Game of Thrones night every Monday evening.

Our librarians have also done a great job with helping students de-stress during long study sessions in the library by supplying colouring books, sheets and pencils and encouraging students to take their mind off studying every now and then.

All students are invited to utilise these de-stress activities.

Tell us how you de-stress during exam time by tweeting us a photo (@hughes_hall) or by commenting on our Facebook page and using the hashtag #examtimezen.
