Hughes Hall Fellow and Vice President Professor Neil Mercer, and Hughes Hall Research student James Mannion have been published in the current edition of the Times Educational Supplement. The piece, entitled ‘Talk may be cheap but group work is priceless'(TES February 6th, pages 36-7). The article investigats why teachers so often find that group work is hard to manage – because students haven’t been taught how to do it well. The authors then explain how it can be made really productive for learning and for developing students’ communications skills.
