On Saturday, Hughes hosted just the third online graduation celebration in its history. The event took place to recognise the achievements of students from across a range of disciplines, all graduating in absentia due to COVID-19.
After a speech from College President, Dr Anthony Freeling, and Praelector, Dr Markus Gehring, the graduands were called out in order, by subject and degree. They then had the opportunity to say a few words, many thanking their family, friends, supervisors and mentors.
Well done to all the students involved – we look forward to welcoming you back to Hughes Hall for an in-person celebration once we are able to do so!
