There were a lot of proud faces at Hughes on Saturday as the latest graduands fixed their gowns and white ties, and proceeded to the Senate House for their graduation ceremony.
Family and friends were invited to celebrate this joyous occasion with the graduates in the Pavilion Room and proudly followed the procession to the Senate House in order to witness a truly humbling ceremony.
The graduation ceremony is steeped in the ancient tradition of the University and celebrates the achievements, endeavour and the significance of college community. The college’s Praelector Dr Markus Gehring, formally presented the graduands in Latin to our Hughes Hall President, Dr Anthony Freeling who presided over the ceremony acting as Vice-Chancellor.
We extend our congratulations to all the graduates and we wish them the very best for the next chapter in their lives.
