Dr Paola Ricciardi comments on ‘COLOUR: The art and science of illuminated manuscripts’, the current exhibition at The Fitzwilliam Museum

Dr Paola Ricciardi, Senior Member at Hughes Hall and Research Associate, Department of Manuscripts and Printed Books at The Fitzwilliam Museum comments on the Museum’s current exhibition ‘COLOUR: The art and science of illuminated manuscripts’.

“I think the exhibition is visually stunning, and very special in the way that it appeals both to people interested in art, and to people interested in science. The integration of pigments – plants, minerals and insects – manuscripts and scientific discoveries is what makes COLOUR unique, and perfectly suited to be hosted by a University Museum.”
