The 6th Hughes Hall 3-minute thesis (3MT) competition took place on May 20th and we are delighted to announce the prize winners in each of the 3 categories.
PhD (years 2 or 3)
Winner: Marina Maia, Fertilizer production from waste streams.
Runner up: Imogen Binnian, Making CFTR: the tortoise wins this race.
MPhil or 1st year PhD
Winner: Han Xu, Building Recycling.
Runner up: David Baker, To save the world, start in the classroom.

This annual competition is open to students of all stages in their academic career and offers a fantastic opportunity to convey the relevance and importance of their research to a non-specialised audience in three minutes or under, using just one slide.
