Women in Science Research Showcase

Join us in celebrating ‘International Day of Women and Girls in Science’.

Five distinguished women scientists, from a variety of fields, will talk about their research and their path into science. Speakers include:
• Prof Margaret Stanley, Emeritus Professor of Epithelial Biology, University of Cambridge
• Dr Amanda Sferruzzi-Perri, University Lecturer in Physiology, Lister Institute Fellow
• Ms Parthena Exizidou, Engineer, British Antarctic Survey

This event is being organised by Hughes Hall Postdoctoral Researchers’ Group in collaboration with the Society of Spanish Researchers in the UK.

A round-table discussion with the audience will address current challenges around gender equality in the sciences, and avenues for improving the prospects of little, and not so little, girls who wish to embark on a scientific career.

A wine/soft drinks and cheese reception will follow.

Free of charge. Click here to book a place.
