The History of the Violin

We are delighted to be joining up with The Friends of Cambridge Early Music to provide an exciting new series of events for the new academic year.

On Saturday 16th September at 6pm,  Dr Nigel Brown OBE, The Stradivari Trust, will be giving a talk about the history and development of the violin. He will be accompanied by the young violinist Rachel Stroud, who plays with the European Baroque Orchestra amongst others, and who plays a copy of an Amati violin made by Jonathan Woolston, luthier of Mill Road Cambridge.

Everyone is very welcome to attend this free event, but please ensure you book.

Please contact friends@cambridgeearlymusic.org or telephone 01223411762 to reserve a place.

Car parking is available.
