Featured presenter
Zubair Junjunia

Zubair started ZNotes at 16 seeing firsthand the inequalities in education around him. Today, the organisation has grown to reach over 4 million students and 28+ million hits globally. ZNotes addresses the uneven playing field of standardised testing with a student-empowered and technology-enabled approach to content creation and peer learning. In this talk, Zubair will dive deeper into how he bootstrapped his startup to this scale as well as ensuring being evidence-led through the development of a robust theory of change and measurement tools. Beyond ZNotes, Zubair is also an advisory board member at DEFI Cambridge and EY Foundation and serves as National Youth Leader for the Global Partnership for Education.

This event is sponsored by DEFI, the Digital Education Futures Initiative, at Hughes Hall, Cambridge. DEFI envisions a global education system that is more inclusive and that better serves collective human flourishing.
