Hughes Hall Bridge Awards Speaker Event

Join us for the first speaker event of the Hughes Hall Bridge Awards. If you a Cambridge University student who has a business idea that can solve a ‘real life’ problem in the areas of Education or Oracy, Climate, Digital Innovation, Tech Innovation or Health care solutions, this competition is for you, so come and  join us for an insightful discussion with our guest speaker.

We are honoured to be joined by Leo Jiang, a Cambridge University alumnus who completed his MBA here last year and is now the co-founder and CEO of JoltSynSor – a cutting-edge Cambridge-based technology company. We will hear about about his fascinating career journey.

Leo will be interviewed by Qinyue Yin (Moon), a Hughes Hall MBA alumnus who was also heavily involved in organising the Hughes Hall Entrepreneurship competition last year.

There will also be time for a Q&A session with the audience. The event will include a drinks reception.

About the speakers

Leo Jiang is the CEO of JoltSynSor, a cutting-edge tech startup specializing in advanced fiber-optic sensor technology. JoltSynSor transforms structures into self-sensing entities, offering innovative solutions across multiple industries including robotics, offshore energy, and infrastructure. JoltSynSor is a Cambridge spin-off company.

With an 8-year tenure on Wall Street, including pivotal roles at J.P. Morgan and a leading fintech unicorn in New York, Leo brings extensive financial expertise and strategic vision to JoltSynSor. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Finance, and an MBA from the University of Cambridge. His academic background, combined with professional certifications like CFA and CPA, equips him with the necessary skills for business development, strategic planning, and financial oversight. At JoltSynSor, Leo is instrumental in driving the company’s growth, managing product development, and identifying new market opportunities, all while ensuring the team aligns with the company’s vision and corporate goals.

Qinyue Yin (Moon) is an ex venture capital investor and product manager. He holds an MBA from Judge Business School and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering. In his prior career, Moon played a pivotal role in the startup and venture capital landscape across the United States, China, and Europe. His expertise led to investments in multiple cutting-edge AI and SaaS startups, and he led to build impactful tech product including the next generation of SAP permission system .
