DEFI Research Seminar: Teaching – A Room of Opportunity

DEFI is delighted to offer you the opportunity to hear Dr Ingunn Johanne Ness of the University of Bergen talking about her research in a talk entitled: Teaching – A Room of Opportunity 
Polyphony and Creative knowledge processes in the classroom and in Higher Education 

In this presentation Ness will talk about her research into creative knowledge processes which have been developed in interdisciplinary teams working on generating innovative ideas in organizations and how she transferred findings to the teaching of interdisciplinary student groups at the University of Bergen. With creativity research as a point of departure, she developed a didactical model: the STEPRE model with an aim to support creativity and dialogical teaching.

About the speaker

Dr. Ingunn Johanne Ness is Senior Researcher and Theme Leader at the Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE), Faculty of Psychology, University of Bergen, Norway. Ness has conducted extensive research on collaborative creativity, leadership, and dialogue since 2009 in both industry and education contexts. Her research was nominated for the Norwegian Innovation Prize in Psychology in 2017 due to the new conceptualizations and models that were offered to the field of organizational creativity.
