Hughes Hall is the oldest graduate College of the University and you join many generations of students who have passed through the gates of Hughes since 1885. Your graduation day represents a transition from one community to another as you join our extraordinary alumni network, over 10,000 strong and represented in more than 116 countries.
Constituting a vast body of knowledge and experience and working across a wide spectrum of professional and academic activity, the collective impact of Hughesians is enormous. Our alumni help to fulfil the College’s aim to improve society worldwide through excellent teaching and research and by bridging the academic and external worlds. We hope that many of our alumni will take the opportunity to play an active role in this network, which unites such a rich and diverse range of individuals throughout their life’s journey.
We greatly value our relationship with you, and we encourage all alumni to maintain their connections with the greater Hughes Hall network, which unites such a rich and diverse range of individuals, throughout their life’s journey.
We regularly organise events for Hughesians both in the UK and overseas and hold annual subject dinners for Medicine, Law, Land Economy and Business. All alumni are welcome to join us at the Alumni weekend in Cambridge, and there are frequent talks and drinks receptions in London, Hong Kong, New York and throughout the world.
We would like to thank those individuals – alumni, Fellows, staff, friends, students and families – whose generosity continues to make a real difference to the lives of Hughesians. In 2016 the College enhanced its accommodation provision with a new 85-room development at Gresham Court, which was made possible with the support of our many donors from around the world. With the ongoing need to provide Hughes Hall scholarships and bursaries, we hope you will, in due course, be able to add your support in the future.
