Governing Body Fellow

Rupert Wegerif is Professor of Education (2000). His research focuses on education for dialogue in the context of the Internet Age. He has been working on a general dialogic theory of education as well as conducting research on ways of teaching through dialogue and teaching for dialogue in classrooms and teaching the complex competence of ‘learning to learn together’ online. He has worked on some substantial funded projects developing Internet based technology supports for dialogic education. He is co-lead with Sara Hennessy of the Cambridge Educational Dialogue Research group (CEDiR) and founder and co-convenor of the Educational Theory Special Interest Group (SIG) of the European Association of Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI).
