College Teaching Officer, Director of Studies for Economics (Year 2)
Michael’s research interests relate to predictability in asset prices and how this can be used to price assets, test asset pricing models and construct portfolios which optimise the risk-return trade-off. He joins Hughes Hall after completing his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he was previously an undergraduate. While being a Fellow of Downing College, Michael is shared as a College Teaching Officer between Downing College, Hughes Hall and St Edmund’s College. He is closely involved with all three colleges. At Hughes Hall, Michael directs studies for second-year Economics students (Part IIA) and supervises students across the different years of the course. Michael supervises in Mathematics & Statistics for Economics, Econometrics, Macroeconomics and Finance.
