Visiting By-Fellow
Dr Komachi is visiting scholar in the department of psychiatry at the university of Cambridge.
She currently works on the RESHAPE and HOPE project, part of ChARm, and collaborates with Professor Tamsin Ford.
Dr Komachi obtained her PhD from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Medicine in 2014 and continues her research as an independent researcher while working as a Japanese university faculty member and as a visiting researcher in Japan.
Dr Komachi has demonstrated that the mental health of families of patients in intensive care suffers due to lack of knowledge on how best to support those individuals. Presently, Dr Komachi is creating a support method based on the findings clarified by her research.
