Vivian Hunt DBE, Managing Partner for McKinsey & Company UK & Ireland, gave the Honor Chapman Memorial Lecture at the City Hall in London on 17th July.
The topic of the address was How inclusive leadership leads to inclusive growth is an important one, and undoubtedly timely. Vivian is named as one of ‘the most influential black woman in Britain’ by the Powerlist Foundation and identified by The Financial Times as one of the ‘European Women to Watch’ and, more recently, as one of the 30 most influential people in the City of London.
“As organisations and as cities, we can no longer view diversity as optional window dressing. In 2018, the most successful companies do many things well and all use diversity as a source of competitive differentiation.”
