Two Hughesians help to show biodiversity conservation in a new light

Research Fellow Dr Charles M. Pigott and Land Economist Rosemary Ostfeld help to show biodiversity conservation in a new light in a series of films released earlier this year by the University of Cambridge Conservation Research Institute (UCCRI).

Dr Charles Pigott, Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellow, Centre of Latin American Studies features in one of the videos, explaining how: “until recently, conservation has tended to focus either on natural heritage or cultural heritage, but today a new paradigm is emerging, the environmental humanities.”

Land economist and Hughesian, Rosemary Ostfeld also features in a video and talks about her research into social and economic aspects of palm oil production.
