The annual Charnley Law Dinner, inaugurated at the College in 2010, celebrates and promotes the study of Law at Hughes Hall. Since its inception it has featured a series of very distinguished speakers from the field of Law. Last week, we were delighted to welcome The Hon. Sir Charles Haddon-Cave QC, Justice of the High Court to speak at our eighth Charnley Law Dinner.
After an enjoyable dinner, Hon. Sir Charles Haddon-Cave QC shared his thoughts on the fun and rewards of being a barrister, through entertaining personal anecdotes. These insights provided the students, alumni and guests in attendance with ‘food for thought’ and a revitalised energy to be the best in their field.
The Charnley Law Dinner, sponsored by William Charnley, is always a delightful evening and this year was no exception.
