John Hughes, Chairman of Just Eat on ‘How I went from electrical engineer to global food entrepreneur’ – 9th March

John Hughes, ‘How I went from electrical engineer to global food entrepreneur’, Thursday 9th March, 7pm, Peter Richards Room

John Hughes, Chairman of Just Eat, will be coming to the Hughes Hall Enterprise Society on Thursday 9th March to talk about his fascinating and varied career, a career that has taken him to the US and France, and now sees him heading up an international company headquartered in London.

John has more than 30 years’ experience leading complex high technology businesses operating at a global level. He has worked with the tech community in Boston, and for a partially state-owned company in France. Along the way, he has – among many other things – presided over the Historic Motor Sport Commission for the international motor association FIA and been Chairman of Cambridge telecommunications company Sepura.

Come along on the 9th to hear what John has learned during the three distinct phases of his career about motivating people, operating in different cultures, managing expectations and the responsibilities of leadership.

With plenty of time for questions, you’re bound to ‘takeaway’ some inspiration from this Hughes Hall Enterprise Society event. Please register for this event via Eventbrite.
