Hughes Hall Students Win First Place in the Yale Healthcare Case Competition

A very happy week for Hughes students Hannah Kanamori and Yiwei Li, whose team has won first place in the Yale Healthcare Case Competition. This prestigious international award is given annually to an interdisciplinary student team with the best response to a medical case, this year in the field of wearable medical devices. Along with their teammates Xin Qi (Wolfson), Takehiro Aoki (Churchill) and Gabriel Thia (St Edmunds), Hannah and Yiwei were awarded first prize of $3000 by a panel of academic and industry judges. Their trip was subsidised by a Hughes Hall travel grant.

Speaking of their win, Hannah Kanamori said: ‘We could have not done this without the support of Hughes Hall and are thankful to have had the opportunity to utilise all the knowledge gained throughout the MBA programme.’

Congratulations to them all on a stunning achievement!
