Thank you to John Swinney, the Deputy First Minister of Scotland, who was in conversation with his former tutor Prof. Mary Buckley on Friday evening. Mr Swinney gave an engaging and thoughtful account on his life in politics, answering questions about his role in the SNP and its development over the past 30 years. The evening was rounded off by a lively question and answer session with the audience, where Mr Swinney answered questions about Scotland’s relationship with England, the future of the SNP and his views on Europe.
