On the evening of Friday 7 February we opened our doors to Law academics, alumni and students for the 2014 Charnley Law Dinner. We have established a pattern of eminent speakers, and this year was no different as we welcomed The Right Honourable Lord Justice Lloyd Jones PC, Chairman of the Law Commission. After an introduction from Honorary Fellow Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers, Sir David spoke engagingly on his work for the primary law reform body in the United Kingdom, peppering his speech with fantastic anecdotes.
It was wonderful to see such a diverse turn out for this extremely popular dinner. First year BA students were able to rub shoulders with more experienced Law academics and practitioners, and the night was a great success. We look forward to an equally triumphant event in 2015.
