Calvin Orlando Smith – “Positively brilliant” in his role in the show THE PRODUCERS

Hughes Hall Alumnus, Calvin Smith (MPhil Art and Architecture, 2004) has received great reviews for his most recent acting role in Woodminster’s THE PRODUCERS.

Calvin, made his Broadway debut at the Lunt-Fontanne as Cecco in Peter Pan and since then, has gone from strength to strength – making various roles come to life with his unique style. His international, national and regional credits include international tours with both PETER PAN and EVITA and major roles in MUSIC MAN, MY FAIR LADY, THE FULL MONTY, PINOCCHIO and FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE – just to name a few.

More recently, Calvin, a member of Actor’s Equity Association,  portrayed Roger De Bris in THE PRODUCERS which received a batch of great reviews with Broadway World commenting: “Calvin Smith is positively brilliant as the flamboyant Roger Debris”.

Next on Calvin’s schedule is the role of Zoser in Elton John’s AIDA at the Woodminster Theatre in Oakland, California.

We wish him continued success!
