Michaelmas Research Showcase (online)

Tuesday 23 November 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (online)

Hughes Hall Postdocs are happy to announce the return of their Research Showcases in which members of college share their research with the community. The series will comprise three evening sessions spread across the academic terms. There will be four 10-minute presentations with questions and discussion at the end. Each session will have a theme:

  • Michaelmas: Identifying the problem: What is the big open question you are trying to solve?
    What cell biology underlies diversity in African trypanosomes –Dr Nicola Moloney
    How and why we need to protect and restore mangrove ecosystems – Dr Kate Kincaid
    Understanding screening participation –Dr Sarah Hoare
    Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility. How they shape our experience in the built environment – Dr Matteo Zallio

The presentations will be followed by time for questions and discussion at the end. This event will be open so please ask friends and colleagues to join.

  • Lent: Tackling the problem: how do you approach your work?
  • Easter: Selling: why should anyone care about your research?
