Stradivari Trust Concert Series: Alda Dizdari

Wednesday 28 June at 6.00 pm in the Pavilion Rm

The Trustees of the Stradivari Trust warmly invite college members to a concert on Wednesday 28th June.

The evening will feature violinist Alda Dizdari, with a programme that will include Ravel ‘Sonata for violin and piano’, Elgar ‘Sonata in E minor for violin and piano, op 82’ and Dvorak ‘Romance’. Alda will be accompanied by  Hughes Hall Director of Music, Dr Nigel Yandell.

The performance will begin at 6pm (doors open at 5.45pm), followed by a drinks reception where you will have the opportunity to meet Alda.

Alda Dizdari

Alda is an outstanding musician of immense diversity.  Now a British citizen, Alda was born into a family of musicians and left her native Albania at an early age to pursue her career in music.  Alongside her successful solo career, Alda is a passionate teacher, currently teaching in two of the leading music schools in the UK:  the Purcell School and Guildhall School of Music and Drama.  She plays a GB Ceruti violin, bought for her by a private sponsor, and a Peccatte bow through one of the Stradivari Trust instrument schemes.  You can learn more about Alda’s career from her website https://aldadizdari.co.uk
