Alumni

As a former student of Hughes Hall you are part of an important constituency of our College, some 7,000 Hughesians, spread across the world.  You are our ambassadors, talking about us, opening doors and encouraging prospective students to apply. And you represent a huge body of knowledge and expertise, a precious asset to the current generations of Hughes students as they make their way in life. We do hope that you will always feel a personal connection with Hughes Hall and that, even if you are far away, your membership will bring you a real sense of the sheer interest of life in this extraordinary university.

Sarah Squire, President

Lifelong membership

All Hughes Hall alumni (former students) are lifelong members of both the College and University and we greatly value this relationship. Cambridge colleges are special communities, both academic and social, which bring people together from all over the world.

Staying involved

You might not have realised as a student that some of the scholarships, receptions, and even the buildings themselves have been made possible by our former students and their continued support of Hughes.

Our alumni return to give lectures (academic and professional), provide careers advice and even to cheer on the Hughes boats in the Bumps! In all of these ways they are firmly part of our Hughes community and we hope that you will want to stay involved with your College.
